Community Elemental Shrines

This page is to collect our history of shrine tending for the LMCommunity so that our collective knowledge can grow along with the power of our working relationships with the elements. This page includes stories from the four LMCommunity Elemental Shrine Tenders as they learn from tending their shrines. It will also include:

Rochelle Weidner, original Water Shrine Tender, on the day we opened all of the originating elemental shrines for LMCommunity.:

 

“It was an amazing day. Because of the timing, I worked mainly from the middle of my night to about late afternoon, lighting candles, incense, doing journey work, sometimes sleeping when I could, imagining the moon which was a long time from rising in my part of the world, feeling the rush or air and feathers, feeling the heat of fire and the comfort of the earth. One of the most consistent images I had during that time was a sense of wonder from the elements, an amazement and appreciation that they were honored, respected and acknowledged.”

 

 

 

Bec Cooper, original Earth Shrine Tender:

 

Once opened the LMCommunity Earth Shrine became an opening between the non-ordinary reality spirit of the earth element and the earthly realms for our community. Our first earth shrine was created in and at the base of a living tree, with a birdhouse in it that housed the LMCommunity earth power object inside. The power object is within the aura of the tree that way.

 

Earth shrines can be made of stone, earth, trees and any other earthy kinds of materials – it depends on the direction given by the Spirit of the Earth Element (not Earth the planet).
